Diagnosed in 2001 with the help of her doctor, Dusty has been healthier since diagnosis than she was the first thirty years of her life.  She's been educating herself and others about adrenal insufficiency since 2007 with her blog and 2008 with the forum.  She's been providing her advocacy services since 2011.  She is an ultrarunner who loves the heat, group fitness instructor and personal trainer.  She holds the women's record for Badwater 146 solo and self-contained.  146 miles.  A 200 pound cart.  No assistance.  Badwater Basin -285 feet (lowest point the continental US) to the highest point in the continental US which is the top of Mount Whitney at 14,500 feet in 81 hours during July.

Learn as much as you can about your situation.  We are all different.  Adrenal insufficiency is relatively rare and chances of finding a doctor who is educated about adrenal insufficiency are slim.  It is the patient's job to learn as much as possible about adrenal insufficiency to get the best diagnosis and treatment.
